Things we love... Last.fm

When I'm at home, I'm always listening to music. We both love to discover new bands and Last.fm is perfect for that. It's a music website founded in 2002 in the UK which recommends new music to you, based on the music you've listened to.

Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of the tracks the user listens to, either from Internet radio stations, or the user's computer and many portable music devices. They do this by using a music recommender system called "Audioscrobbler". The data are then displayed on the user's profile page and also compiled to create reference pages for individual artists. By April 2011 Last.fm reported more than 50 billion scrobbles. The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favorites.

Sorry for the real short post, but you should just visit this website and discover yourself how amazing it is: http://www.last.fm/home
